1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Shattered Prism ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Shattered Prism is a free-to-play arcade runner game. The App includes gameplay, an in-game upgrade shop, global leaderboards, optional account creation for cloud sync, and advertisements. An ad-free experience is available as an in-app purchase.

3. Accounts

Creating an account is optional. You can sign in using email OTP, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or Facebook Login. If you choose to create an account:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the sign-in method used.
• You may choose a display name that will be visible to other players on the leaderboard.
• We reserve the right to remove or modify display names that are offensive, misleading, or violate these terms.

4. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page within the App. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. When you delete your account:

• All your Shattered Prism data is permanently removed from our servers, including leaderboard scores, player progress, gameplay statistics, and color schemas.
• All data from other R. M. Burgess apps sharing this account (such as LedgerCast) is also permanently removed.
• Your authentication record (email address and user ID) is permanently deleted.

We cannot restore deleted accounts or data. To request data export before deletion, contact us at the email listed below.

5. In-Game Currency

Shattered Prism uses an in-game virtual currency ("coins") that can be earned through gameplay. Coins are used to purchase in-game upgrades. Coins:

• Have no real-world monetary value
• Cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for real currency
• May be adjusted or reset at our discretion for game balancing purposes

6. Advertising and In-App Purchases

The App displays advertisements from third-party ad networks. You may remove all advertisements by purchasing the ad-free upgrade for $1.99 USD (or equivalent in your local currency) through the App Store. This purchase:

• Is a one-time, non-refundable payment processed by Apple
• Applies only to Shattered Prism and does not extend to other apps
• Can be restored on other devices signed into the same Apple ID

7. User-Generated Content

The App allows you to create custom color themes and choose display names. By submitting this content, you agree that:

• You will not submit content that is offensive, hateful, or inappropriate
• We may remove or modify any user-generated content without notice
• Other players may view and use color themes you share

8. Leaderboard

If you have an account, your display name and game scores may be displayed publicly on the in-game leaderboard. By participating, you consent to this display.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities to gain unfair advantage
• Use automated tools, bots, or modified versions of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the service for other users
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data

10. Availability

We strive to keep the App available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without prior notice.

11. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, R. M. Burgess shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or game progress.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, nothing in these terms affects your rights under applicable EU consumer protection or data protection laws, including the GDPR.
