Overview

Shattered Prism ("the App") is developed by R. M. Burgess. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data We Collect

If you choose to create an account, we collect and store the following:

• Email address — Used solely for account authentication via one-time passcode (OTP). We do not send marketing emails.
• Display name — A name you choose, shown on the public leaderboard.
• User ID — A randomly generated identifier that links your account data. This is not personally identifiable.
• Game scores — Your high scores, submitted to the global leaderboard.
• Gameplay statistics — Aggregate lifetime stats including kills, time played, coins earned, damage dealt, combos, and similar gameplay metrics.
• Upgrade progress — Your purchased in-game upgrades and coin balance.
• Color schemas — Custom visual themes you create or select.

Advertising

The App displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks. These networks may collect certain data to serve relevant ads, including:

• Device type and operating system
• Advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA)
• General location (country/region level)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, taps)

You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. You may also remove all ads by purchasing the ad-free upgrade ($1.99 USD) within the App.

Data We Do Not Collect

• Precise location data
• Contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Browsing history or app usage outside of Shattered Prism
• Payment or financial information (purchases are handled by Apple)

How We Use Your Data

• Authentication — Your email is used to sign you in via OTP. No password is stored.
• Leaderboard — Your display name and scores are shown publicly on the in-game leaderboard.
• Cloud sync — Your game progress is stored so you can resume on another device.
• Gameplay stats — Aggregate statistics are stored for your personal viewing. They are not shared publicly beyond the leaderboard score.
• Advertising — Ad networks use limited device data to serve ads within the App.

Playing Without an Account

You can play Shattered Prism without creating an account. All game progress is stored locally on your device. No account data is transmitted to our servers unless you sign in. Ads may still be displayed.

Data Storage

Account data is stored on Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely. Local game data is stored on your device using Godot's built-in configuration system.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed from our servers.

Your Rights

You may request to:

• View the data we store about you
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Change your display name at any time within the app

Children's Privacy

Shattered Prism does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
